North Sonoma County Healthcare District was formed in 2001 and is mainly comprised of Windsor, Healdsburg, Geyserville, Cloverdale and the surrounding areas, totaling approximately 60,000 residents. Governance is by a five-member, publicly elected board, with each serving four-year terms.

North Sonoma County Healthcare District has built a strong, vital healthcare community which earned the District the Association of California Healthcare Districts (ACHD) Award in recognition of outstanding contributions to community health and wellbeing.
